take it in and have it completely cleaned out so how do i get the microsoft collection back? it had word,excel,the spreadsheet, etc. and it was already on the comp when i bought it so theres no cd or anything

Probably too late. Many computers today don't ship with any discs. Some have the original installs or recovery disc on the hard drive, and you are supposed to run a "create disc" utility.

Did you buy it new?
If that software was included in the purchase you can contact the manufacturer and ask for the installs.

If you can't get it resolved, just install Open Office. It does everything Microsoft office will do and a lot more, all FREE. www.openoffice.org

Did it not come with start up discs? If you bought it new, there should be discs included with your manuals so that you can recover. Every new computer I've ever purchased was loaded with certain programs, but the discs for those programs were also included.

yea i think erics right, but if you need a copy of microsoft office 2007 i can zip it up and send it to you. i did get it illegally but its the real thing. just let me know

I would go back to the place you took it to for the virus cleaning and ask them why they removed it and to put it back on.
