My five children whine too much for me to drag them through the mall and I heard you're not supposed to leave the windows all the way up because it can get hot. I'm worried that if I roll them down too far, someone might try to steal the car.

Or, should I leave the car running with the air conditioning on? Would that work?

I'm so confused, please help soon since I want to go and get my shopping done before dinner.

Just leave the kids home alone. There's five of them, so chances are at least 3-4 won't have anything bad happen to them.

Are you just running in to grab one thing or are you doing some major shopping? I hate the idea of leaving children in the car like that for long periods of time. It's just not safe...

I'm sorry, but how bad can they really be. I'd be more worried about someone stealing or hurting my children than dealing with them whining in the mall.

If you must leave them, roll the windows down far enough that you can only reach your hand in, not past the wrist. This will deter the punk idiot that just passes by and sees a possibly opportunity cause they probably don't have any tools on them. Unless your kids are still in carseats they can't get out of, i wouldn't reccommend leaving the keys in the ignition, you just never know with kids.

Good Luck.

When you get there take them in with you and get them to go to the security office and whine" I cant find my Daddy" ....then continue shopping before rushing into the office madly with tears streaming down your face saying" Ive lost my kids! I only took my eyes off them for a second while checking the preservative content on a package and i have searched everywhere~ can you put something over the loudspeaker!!"

Problem solved no dead kids no stolen car!!

Simply leave the car running. This way when you return from shopping it will be nice and cool for your drive home. It may be wise to leave a small hand gun with one of the children. You don't want your car stolen. I would also recommend leaving one child at home to cook dinner. You have already had a full day.

That's my thoughts anyway. Enjoy your shopping.

Just roll the windows all the way down.
Only a real idiot would want in a car with 5 kids.

Oh man, from the title line I thought you were driving your car through the mall.LOL That would be awesome. I would have said that you should keep them rolled all the way up, you don't want those pesky kiosk venders asking for a handout.

But if its your kids being left in the car, then I'll say, when my parents left me in the car, at my insistence of course, they always left the air-conditioner running. Texas gets pretty f-ing hot you know.

I hope you are joking as well. Any parent with a brain knows you never leave your children in a car unattended.

You can roll them all the way down, just have some sort of security.

My wife and I typically tie up our Dobermans around the vehicle perimeter (yes, we set out water for them...duh), that way nobody can come close to the vehicle or our lovely children.

If this is an attempt at humour the only one that is amused is YOU.
If you are serious then I hope you lose custody of your children so that they have a chance at survival.

Have you thought about parenting classes?
