Acts 2: 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Yes I do believe in being filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.Read the book of Acts it is all in there.

Hi Raj, Yes I do believe in being filled with the Holy Spirit, It is the Holy Spirit that gives us the power to stand firm in Christ Jesus. Yes I have been filled by the Holy Spirit, and do speak in tongues, but it's only when he wills it. To many put all their faith in the gift instead of the gift giver. I hope you find what you are seeking. God Bless you!

being filled with the Holy Spirit does not necessarily mean you will speak in tongues. When we accept Christ the Holy Spirit indwells us, however it is up to us to plug into that power- however when we do God does not give everyone filled with His Spirit the gift of tongues. There are many Christians that I know that are overflowing with His Spirit that do not speak in other tongues. Salvation is not based on speaking in tongues either- nowhere in scripture does it say, that ALL Spirit filled believers, will.

The bible describes it, so yeah I think its possible but I don't think it should be a main thing or make christianity turn into a thing where you only experience good emotional highs. Christianity is much deeper than that. And not everyone will have the gift of tongues...infact I think its actually rare, even though so many people claim to have it.
And the holy spirit is different than the gift of tongues...the holy spirit is there to guide every believer.

Of course I believe in being filled with the Holy Spirit, because I am. I don't believe in the tongues thing, though. I believe that was only for Jesus' disciples when He sent them out, and they spoke in other LANGUAGES or "tongues" so everyone could understand. I don't believe in all the "babbling" and not understanding it. What would be the purpose in it?
I believe when we receive Christ as our Savior, we receive the Holy Spirit. He is our counselor, and our guide, and helper. That's what Jesus called Him. So, I believe Jesus. Thanks for asking. Have a good day in the Lord!

Yes, I believe this happens, for the Bible explains this is a gift to many- speaking in tongues. Many christians have different gifts but every christian HAS the Holy Spirit living in them(See Ephesians 1). Not every christian can speak in tongues however-- Paul speaks about this:
1 Corinthians 12:9-11
9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

Yes, I do. I have been filled with the Holy Spirit. He has given me the gift of tongues, and of discernment. Speaking in tongues is like having a direct line to God, satan cannot understand it. There are many gift's of the Spirit. I thank my Jesus everyday for them.
God Bless You.

Yes Iam filled with the Holy Spirit many times thru out my day. Speaking in tongues, means speaking a language different then your own such as Spanish, Italian, Latin, not some gibberish that only you understand. that is what it is meant by speaking in tngues, that everyone who hears the word will hear it in their own language.
