Whole fruits, dried fruits, peanuts or sunflower seeds, single serve applesauce, whole grain chips or crackers, hard cheese, baby bel cheeses (little tiny cheese wheels in wax)
It would help to know what purpose, if this was for a backpacking trip, or otherwise stored a long time, or just need to make it from morning to lunchtime, or if you want to use any silverware or any prep at all, like peeling it or cutting it up.
IF you can prep a little bit, many veggies can last a day. Brocolli, baby carrots, celery sticks, potatos (DON'T laugh they are so good raw!) frozen peas thawing in a tupperware,
There are tuna and chicken pouches, some are flavored, most are plain. You can mix this in the pouch (plastic spoon) with a packet each of mayo and relish from the local fast food, and have tuna salad on the go, no refrigeration.
They make peanut butter in a slice similar to cheese singles. And there are other single serve condiments that you can get, usually these foods go in the fridge but in a packet, you can haul them with you, open for the first time, and eat before it would ever have a chance to spoil. Check dates on these frequently if you accumulate them or if they take a beating in your purse. You don't want something that has been accidenty opened and went bad.
Baby food desserts and fruits are single serve simple foods, and portable. And the containers can be refilled with something else.
You can eat bagels, eng muffins, pita, tortillas on the go, just tear off bite sized pieces. Flavored bagels mean no toppings are needed, but even whole wheat bagels are so good, I eat them plain even when I'm home.
You don't HAVE to heat prepared soup sippers, although most would say they taste better hot. You can also get V-8 singles, or other juices.
One of my fav alternatives to gooey baked goods or other high fat dessert items is either sweetened cereal, or Teddy Grahams, or animal crackers. The cereal, no matter how horrible of a breakfast it is for you, is better than a dessert, and not much fat, and it is enriched with vitamins, and many are reduced in sugar, or whole grain now. Teddy Grahams and animal crackers are just plain little cookies but they are good flavor so they don't need to be frosted or dipped.

I love Wheat Thins! I think they are a healthy snack. Also, what that other lady said about granola bars. You can actually get some really good ones these days. Even my kids love them (and they are not the kind with chocolate and candy). I also discovered these new pretzels, they are Rold Gold Honey Wheat Braided Twists. They are low in fat, and have 0 grams saturated fat, 0 grams trans fat, and 0 mg cholesterol. And they taste good! I love em!

I would suggest either eating cheerios or getting some grapes. Grapes don't always need refrigeration. But if you want grapes to stay cold freeze them over night and then take them to work with you. As the day goes on they will thaw out.
