Why not wear a costume that's, ohhh I don't know... SCARY or CREATIVE instead of simply trying to get attention? Seriously, don't you have any self-respect than to wear something that's almost nothing... What is the point?
Please, for the sake of the children that look up to grown-ups
Set a good example and don't lower yourself as a person.

nml - So if your costume is only for your man, then that means you do not wear it in public, amirite?

**Princess_87** - Please don't generalize, don't lump me in with those grunts... Notice that I didn't say anything like "all women"
Also, the "DON'T LOOK" response is SO ignorant.. My point is that it sets a bad example... I care because I should... The question is, Why DON'T you care?

ZCT - Nobody appointed me judge of good taste, but if it WERE so good, then why don't they dress like that every day??
I like halloween, but if I wanted to see strippers, I'd go to a strip club.
Also, free speech and free dress is a myth... If you're going to make a stand, be prepared to accept the consequences.

I think its ok to dress like that at a adult holloween party. But when your on the street with your kids or someone elses kids women should not dress like that. Besides, most states it pretty cold out by the time Halloween comes around.

I think a woman can dress sexy w/o being at all slutly.I don't think all costumes are for outside the bedroom but there are so many that are sexy that can be.It's also the way they carry themselves to make them be labeled as"sluts".My own opinion if your outfit is making your man hott imagine what it's doing to all the other men. It's not good to show them what they can't have and to provoke lust.

And who appointed you the judge of good taste?
Let's face facts dressing up in any way is pointless. It's a pretty dumb festival anyway.
I don't think that a revealing costume means that you are lowering yourself as a person. Frankly, that strikes me as a prudish sexist attitude. Should we go back to burning women as witches if they don't dress conservatively enough?
This is 2007, women can wear whatever they like.
UPDATE: You asked why they don't dress like that every day. Well obviously because it is slutty. But perhaps some women like to release their inner naughty girl and dress in a tarty way. This does not make them whores, nor does it make them less of a person. By and large they wear such clothing to private parties, it's not like they are parading around the mall dressed as whores.
As to your strip club comment, don't be such a prude. I have never seen a Halloween costume any more revealing than what a woman wears at a beach or at the swimming pool. If you are truly so offended by Halloween costumes, why don't you stay home that night?
I know free speech is a myth. It is a slogan rather than an actual right. But I think this comment is irrelevant. Neither you nor I suggested these women should be arrested. But I did make reference to it being 2007, because you appear to be under the impression this is 1957.

I wore costumes that were scary or creative when I was a kid. I was a nice wholesome kid! Let me have my fun now please and dress slutty and flaunt my body at a Halloween party, which no children will be attending. I dress very respectably on the other 364.5 days of the year.

i don't really like it, it sets a bad example and even if it is at a adult party it's still a bad temptation for men and it sets a body image that some woman cant achieve. I'm not going to force people to wear what I feel is right but please dress modestly for Halloween please

Actually I've never seen a woman dress this way for Halloween. However I've seen plenty of grown men. Are you sure you are seeing what you think you are? If so, why in the world would you care what other people are doing? Better run along to the costume shop before all the "God" costumes are sold out.

Yes it seems halloween is show your inner whore to the world day for a lot of people...I guess they seem to think it's a dress up day and what a better way to attract attention to themselves then show it all off! Guess these ones never heard that there is more intrigue in what is hidden not on show for everyone.

i know! there's even this trend of teenage girls wearing that lil bunny ears with that fluffy tail stuck on their bottom. i really like it when a woman dress up as a vampire princess with king dracula on her side. now thats scary, and thats halloween! not some skimpy costume. its not even scary! lol
