Why pray only to be protected from danger?
Why not pray that God helps you to get through it, if that is His will?
God isn't sitting there waiting for us to ask Him to keep us from getting burned each time we stick our hands in the fire. Sometimes a valuable lesson is learned by going through the troubles we face in life. If God saved you from every bad thing that could ever happen to you, what would you learn that could benefit someone else?
Learn a lesson from history. Israel has been attacked by much larger and better equipped Armies than itself. Israel wins every time, because they are God's chosen people and He goes before them in battle. Bush knows that.
