Without gettin' all technically crazy.
W/ the linguistics.
The personal name of the only true God .
His own self-designation.
Jehovah is the Creator and,
rightfully,
the Sovereign Ruler of the universe.
"Jehovah" is translated from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton,
{i can't put Hebrew letters but it kinda looks like 17117'
that ain't even close}
which means "He Causes to Become."
these 4 Hebrew letters
are represented in many languages
by the letters JHVH or YHWH.
Simple.
You can find this name in most Bibles @
RS-Ex 3:15.
KJ-Ge 22:14; Ex 6:3; 17:15; Ju 6:24; Ps 83:18;
Isa 12:2; 26:4.
ASV-Ge 2:4
HB- Ex 3:14; 6:4 render it as Yahweh.
NAB- Yahweh.
NWT- 7,210 times.
The HB translated by Robert Young
Jehovah is found throughout the
Hebrew Scriptures in this literal translation.
I like ur way of thinking there @ the end.
Haha good 1.
Yeah, why indeed.
When you research into the Bible
why His name is not in normal everyday use,
it becomes clear to a person w/ discernment,
that it is through Satan & Mankind,
that this has come about.
Currently, there are over 6 million ppl on the planet earth,
that do use His name, w/ Love, Respect, Reverance.
They are known Worldwide, by His name.
The Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

YHWH
The tradition is not to pronounce the Name (Ha Shem) out of respect for the infinity, eternity and ultimate sacredness of God
Even the Egyptian Ammun./Atum was named the Hidden One as a title
God has many title names like El Shaddai,God of the Heights in the Hebrew tradition
In the Islamic tradition God has 99 title names
Allah is just Arabic for The God

lol that's a good point. I guess so many people believe in this god, it just stuck as "god" because according to the believer there is only one god, therefore no need for a name.

There are about 2000 different names for God. I think that you're forgetting that "God" is a title, not a name.

According to that old ratty book that I hate (yet quote), god's name is not Jehovah, it is Jealous.
"For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God." (Exodus 34:14)
The name "Jehovah" is a Christian mistake. It was forbidden to pronounce the name "YHWH" (Yahweh), and readers of the Hebrew scriptures were supposed to say "Adonai" in its place. "In written texts the vowels of Adonai were combined with the consonants YHWH to remind readers to pronounce Adonai instead of Yahweh. The incorrect hybrid, 'Jehovah,' arose from Christian misunderstanding in the late Middle Ages."(Harper's Bible Dictionary)
Christians don't even know the name of the god that they praise...

He doesn't have one, he can't. If you understand what God is you will know why.
