If in the bible it states that there is only one way and one religion (One God). Then wouldnt that mean that most are wrong. Also wouldnt it mean that a person would be disobeying their religion if they went to another church like to visit or something. Like if a Baptist went to a Methodist church to visit or hear their preacher. Like at Without Walls Internation Church (non denominational) have preachers from other doctrines come preach to their people. Wouldnt that be wrong? Futhermore, since most religions are the same or very close in doctrine wouldnt that mean that the "One Way" is going to be different than most churches?

The Bible clearly states that there is only one way to eternal life and heaven- Christ: “Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

However, true biblical Christianity is not a religion.

Religions are man made. True Christianity is a divine revelation.

Any passage in the Bible has only one correct interpretation, even though it could have many applications in our lives. The Bible was not written for us to derive whatever meaning we want from it. Correct application of Hermeneutical principles are needed to arrive at the correct meaning. This will take into account the context (texts before and after), the history, the subject being discussed, to whom it was written originally, and many other elements.

Religions teach salvation by works, meaning obtaining God’s favor, forgiveness and eternal life by doing what the particular religions require, or by refraining from doing certain things.

Than is why the salvation provided by God in Christ is so different, because the only thing a person must do to be saved is to believe in the words, the person, and what Christ did on the cross for all humanity, and accept it personally.

Salvation and heaven are gifts from God, not the payment for something we have done.

“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” (Romans 3:25-28)

Most religions are not the same, because they don’t believe in the same things. Many don’t believe that Christ is God. Others don’t believe in the Trinity. Yet others believe in Satan (the Satanic churches) and follow him.

Other religions don’t even believe in the existence of God, like the different types of Buddhism. Others believe there are many god, like the Hindus.

Therefore, if there is only one way to heaven and eternal life provided by God, and humans decide to find “their own way”, to build their own ladders to get to heaven, they in essence are inventing their own religions, and rejecting the true and only way- Jesus Christ. That is typical of human beings throughout history.

The exclusiveness of true Christianity bothers many people, because they are not willing to believe and accept what God says in the Bible. We will not be saved or get to heaven by our own efforts or through any particular religion. Christ paid the price on the Cross to make a way for all who believe in Him and accept Him as Saviour: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

This is the truth; this is what Gods says about salvation, eternal life and heaven. Whether we believe it or not, that’s another story.

People should worship God not religion. Religion has given itself the franchise to alter, twist and distort God into anything that they want. That's the problem. The followers let the religions do anything that they want and are not supposed to bring the religions under scrutiny. It's hard to believe that the followers pay all the bills for religion but have no voice in religion's elected leaders, laws or policies. Anywhere else, this is considered Tyranny.

Religion was never the point anyway. There is only one way--Jesus Christ, who is the son of the only God.

There is nothing wrong with a baptist visiting a methodist church (or vice versa) since they are the same "religion," christianity. Different denominations have slightly different views of christianity, but all place their faith and focus on the saving grace of Jesus.

"religion" is man's invention... not God's... there is only One Church and it is not any of man's invented denominations or sects.
Those of The Church may be found in most of the man invented denominations... but it is not the denomination that gets one into The Church or into Heaven.

All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.

That is what is wrong with Christianity. If you don't accept Jesus then then you can't get to heaven but it also says that the only unforgiven sin is to deny the Holy Spirit. It also says that thou shall have no other Gods before me. Yet Jesus is the God of the Christians. There was a time that I was at peace with religion but now that I think and question I get sick of myself because I can't get the truth of the matters.

Yes! There is only one church, one way. We only have one God. He is only one person. Not that others are all wrong, but they lack the "fullness of the Gospel." This is the main reason why I converted to my current church. I knew from a very young age that the church I was attending was run my a minister. I always wondered why his way, his interpretation was correct.

As far as visiting other churches. I think it helps strengthen our testimonies when we do it sometimes. I know that when I went to my brother's wedding for example, I keep thinking "Hmmm....what is the foundation for that?"

Good question!

the bible doesn't say there's only one way to reach god. some christians do. and christianity itself split in many ways, after the death of jesus, so how can anyone say that one 1 of them is right. it's that kind of absolutist thinking that leads to intolerance and hatred.
any honest, thoughtful, religious person has something to offer, if they would stop trying to convert everyone, or convince others they are wrong.
idaho mike is a perfect example. somehow he is privy to the truth, and everyone else is evil. not only is that not helpful, it's false.

That "one way" to be saved can be easily understood by all in a simple set of essentials we find in Scripture. Any church that adheres to these essentials are a true church of God and teaching the true Gospel that saves people.

Unity in essentials, liberty in opinion, and in all things, charity. -John Locke
