Old enough to know better. We go TOO fast in our society. Age isn't the only factor. I was 17 when I lost mine but had been in a commited and healthy loving relationship for 2 years. It was beautiful, romantic and most of all SAFE. I was on the pill and we STILL used condoms. There is NO excuse for unplanned pregnancy in a world flooded with ways to protect yourself. I would tel you the same thing I would tell my daughter. Wait until you are old enough to know the responsibilities sex, until you are smart enough to protect yourself and until you are loved, respected and special enough not to EVER regret it. That comes some time after your senior year in high school.

I think you should be at least 16, but the real issure is not age. Having sex comes with alot of responsibilites. You need to be aware of how to use and obtain birth control and you need to understand the importance of this. You need to be mature enough to realize if get pregnant you will have to either handle the mental gravity of an abortion or bringing a child up responsibly. You also have to understand the seriousness of sexually transmitted diseases. Also, and not to be discounted, is the fact that women (myself included) like to believe we can be as emotionally detached as men can be when it comes to sexual issues, when realistically most of us do get emotionally attached.

When YOU are ready. This is different for everyone. I was 19 when it was right for me. Its best to be both physically, mentally and emotionally mature. You also need to know just how reproduction works and how to use all forms of protection, whether you're male or female.
Also, not spelling "you're" as "ur" anymore is a good indicator.

The right age is whatever you think it should be. If you're mature enough, physically, and emotionally ready, then go for it. But make sure you're in LOVE. Sex means nothing if you're not in love.

When you are ready for the responsibility of the consequences. The first thought is not being nervous to go in and buy condoms. Then it is, if she gets pregnant, can I take care of the 3 of us?

My personal opinion is in the college years (18-22). Enjoy life, but protect yourself as well.

I don't think theres a right age, you should be mentally stable, and mature when you do lose it, make sure that your partner is as ready as you are, don't let your hormones determine when you lose it...good luck...
