go with the canon, they made great manual cameras back then, i've owned one since 1976, it still works like it came out of the box.

If I had to choose I would take the Canon, but it looks a little rough. Remember there is no factory service on a camera that old; so make sure you know a good repair shop--just in case. A question for you, how much (in US dollars) is it going to cost you?

I would have to go with the Canon, the 1st one, just becuase it is a better brand. Both of them look like older cameras, I would have the morrors checked out first thing.

You won't like this, but neither camera has parts available from their manufacturer should they break. Although both cameras are known for their reliability, you need to keep "what if" in mind before your buy. Check with your local repair facilities and see if they could provide support if the camera breaks.
