When God was aloud in schools years ago you never heard of school shootings.Ever sense God has been taking out of everything this world has gotten so violent and there is so much hatred.So doesn't that mean anything to anyone?

The bible talks about when you deny God he will take his hands of the situation and or person etc, and when he does it opens all doors for satan to come in and to destroy.

First off there was always violence in schools, it's just recently when it is in RICHER areas it's reported....

Second off m'dear I am christian as well but how would YOU feel if this was a muslim/buddhist/jewish etc country and YOU WERE FORCED BY THE SCHOOL SYSTEM TO PRAY TO THEIR GOD?????? I myself would be pissed. Let's keep Church and state seperate and maintain what made this country so awesome- freedom of religion.

If religion is so good then why are the majority of people in jail religious? They never took God out of church, yet priest still molest children. Can you explain that to me? Religion isn't the basis of morality, regardless of what some people would have you believe. The world was just as violent years ago, you just didn't hear about it. Television's were only created in the 1930's, before that people had radio's to receive information about the world. At this time both of these were local signals. Satellite television emerged in 1975 but didn't become mainstream until much later in the mid to late 80's. Until this time, most average people were in the dark about what as happening only a state away. Once Satellite becomes mainstream, all of a sudden people have all this violent information flooding in from around the world. Something they were previously oblivious to. Since then the media industry has grown and today is more about putting their own spin on the news than actually reporting it. This is why you feel the world is going to hell in a hand basket. It has nothing to do with the lack of religion. When are you people going to get it, that religion isn't the fix all to our problems? If you would take a look at your history, you would see that most of the violence and atrocities have been committed not prevented by religion.

What do you mean, you never heard of school shootings back then? There were plenty of such cases, believe me. Not as many as now, but of course there are just plain more schools now, so that's only to be expected. Certainly there was no lack of violence back then.

You really don't have a clue what you're talking about, do you? There are millions of people dying in Third World countries due to wars over religion. Most of the Middle East detests Israel because many muslims believe that Jeruselam should be theirs and not belong to the jews. When was God ever allowed in schools? Sorry, I don't buy the idea that there was this Golden Age when there were no shootings, violence or anything. There never was. The time of which you speak, it was right to hang a black man for kissing a white girl.

Suffering is a fact. There is war, segregation, intolerance, subjugation, etc. All of that exists whether God's allowed in school or not. No religion is going to bring an end to it.

Is it possible that there are other better explanations for that? How about many parents not being involved in the children's lives? Have you looked at the violence rate across cultures to see if the there is the same trend? What about the late 50's and 60's? How does that fit into your thought?

The point I'm trying to make is that the "thing" that you think is causing something may not be the actual cause or it might be. In order to tell you need to do a bit more than just speculation, at least if you're actually serious about solving the problem.

society breeds these people, it has nothing to do with whether God is there or no, personally I believe God should be left out of everything!!! the path you choose is your own, the path should not be chosen for you, teaching God in school as Fact! makes the children believe because they are taught to believe everything the teacher says, that is wrong! society and its problems have to do with us as parents and how we teach our children their morals and principles, that is what is wrong today, to many parents don't give a monkeys about their kids, just as long as they are out of the way. To believe that you have to be a Christian or religious to be able to teach kids morals and right from wrong, is a bit pathetic and as an Atheist I find it offencive! grow up! you don't have to be a bible worshipper to know this!!!

Because back then, parents actually taught their children right from wrong and paid attention to them. Now parents have the schools, the internet, and video games raise their kids and ignore them completely. That is how the students from Columbine could have built pipe bombs in their garage for 2 weeks before the shooting and the parents didn't have a clue. Besides nobody stops a child from praying, just organized prayer is gone. The child can pray whenever and wherever it wants. That is what the parents and churches should have been teaching.

i totally agree with you, myself as a parent can only do so much, then the rest is up to god. and a lot of the children that attend these schools where these kinds of things happen, aren't even exposed to christianity anywhere else. if god was in our schools, then maybe the children that don't have gods influence in their homes, can at least have some at school.

So many dont read the word of God and therefore have no deep understanding of God. religion is not bad. False religion is bad. Ppl for years have been misquoting God and for years have been removing God from everything. PPL hear the word JESUS today or OBEY, and they are like words to bring rebellion and hatred. But, GOd said if you love me, obey me.
and we are commanded to be just like Jesus.
Unless we do that, we cant accept the free gift of salvation. IT is free, but not doing as God says will lose you your free gift.
1 John 3:9 says that those born of God will not sin. THey cant as they are like Christ.
THe more ppl remove Jesus from everything, the more God will remove His full protection for us. The only ones protected God says are those that are truly His, that have answered the call to love and obey. To turn from sins and do them no more. Jesus blood upon the cross, gave us the power to be overcomers thru the spirit of God.
The more we turn our backs on God as a nation, the more God turns His back on wicked ppl, leaving them to fend for themselves, but He will protect His ppl and get us thru everything, before we are raptured home. HE is coming soon, be sure you are ready and stay ready.
