I believe in G-d but not really because of the bible. I think some of the bible may be the truth. I think a lot of it was written by man to make things the way they wanted it. I try to obey what seems right and use my morals and best judgment to make decisions in life. I pray for guidance and use that to also help me make decisions. Part of me thinks some of what is written in the bible was written for the people of that era and G-d just expected us to grow and change and things would become what they are now. I honestly don’t know the answer of why things are what they are in the bible. I do believe in G-d for several other reasons not related to the bible.

There are SO many things. I love God and am very spiritual but the BIBLE...please! Written by men who used it to do what they want, when they want and point to it for proof that it was okay. Point in reference to gang rape, taking other mens wives and doing what you please with them, killing for your own furtherment, war, pilaging, incest, stoning, bigamy, killing of children...what have you. Sound nice? I think not. And it may just be my belief ONLY (I'm not belittling others beliefs...just stating my own) but I don't think God nor Jesus would condone ANY of it. God and Jesus are love, respect and tolerance for everyone. That is the feeling I get when I pray and show my reverance to God.
God is valid because I personally think people need to believe in a higher power. Its okay if you don't because this is America but by and large most of us need to believe that there is a supreme being (no matter what religion you are) beyond our tiny little selves that has the answers to everything. Its comforting and that will never be obsolete.

God needs a private relationship with us. he's often there for us. He needs to affix each and every thing we do. by utilising doing God's will, that's the way you please God. The Holy Spirit lives in us and with the aid of us. Jesus advised us to love others the way he enjoyed us. He tells us to furnish as a joyful giver. I study an email the day previous to this the place a woman placed a chair by utilising her bedside and that grow to be God's chair so as that she could save on her conversations with God such as you will possibly an costly chum. that's what God is.

Ollie,
Begin reading the New Testament. Christians are told to read, study, and obey it's contents. The Old Law has been obsolete since the Death, Burial, resurrection, and Ascension of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. You are a bit out of date. I would be glkad to find someone that you could study with when you are ready to begin. Have a great week.
Thanks,

Maybe God just wanted to lighten up things in our Lives.
Because of all the Pharisees and religious Acts went to the extreme and God wanted relationship with them instead of the acts being first. Nothing stands in the way of God -the Religious stuff can become between God and man. Just like the sin they were trying to get rid of in the first place.

Are you a Jew living in old testament times? Jesus came to replace the law. Gal 3:23-25 23But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
We are under grace today not the law. Noone could keep the law so it was done away with. Jesus is the way John 14:6
