I asked a question a few days ago about the saints who were risen from the graves after Jesus's resurrection. The place where Jesus was buried was it filled with many tombs? If these bodies came out of the tombs on the 3rd day did everyone see this across the world? Was it only certain saints that was close to where Jesus was buried? I wished I could find more information on this, but only Matthew covers this. If anyone has any web sites that will help me understand these few verses in Matthew 27:51-54 I would welcome the help.

There were other tombs in the Garden where Jesus was buried; because it was a Garden, only the wealthy could afford it. Only people in the Garden were resurrected.

According to one very early Christian writer (I would say in the early 2nd century, i.e. after 100 AD), the people who were resurrected that day lived an additional 70 years. I can't remember who wrote it, but I'll search and post a link if I can find it.

The area where Jesus was buried is full of tombs. It's the equivalent of a cemetery. All the scripture says is that people were raised and went into the holy city, which is Jerusalem. So the people were raised there.

The bible isn't specific on the tombs everywhere around the world doing this.

The Jewish Law was for that region of the world only so......in my opinion, probably not.

But man....what a sight that must have been to see, eh?
I can't wait to go to heaven......praise God!

Matthew isn't clear on this, but the resurrection myths have many similarities. They say that the "savior" rises and takes people with him.
