You could probably make a rough stencil of a barn, either out of cardstock or a sponge, then paint in with a deep red at the chair rail line for a border. It would be pretty recognizable just with the shape and color, but you could also go in with a fine brush and some black or white and add detail.

You might be able to find Veggie Tales stuff. Not a perfect match but it is food, which comes from a farm.

You could get some various style of area rugs and smaller. Get colors to represent plots of land. Maybe one looks like a flower garden, one a plowed field waiting for stuff to show, and one looks like a meadow.

For lighting, you might just keep it simple with a country style, a solid color. Green base, yellow shade painted yourself? You could cut out the barn shape in a shade as a repeat motif...use an X-acto knife to make little 1-2 inch shapes a few inches apart along the bottom edge of the screen.

For hung artwork, I would look for posters of different farm equipment and hang them in a collection on ONE wall, like a focal point above the bed or wherever it will be immed seen. Maybe you can get a John Deere poster and arrange toy tractors around it on floating shelves.

OR HAVE YOU THOUGHT OF THIS? Green and yellow are Green Bay Packer colors too. You could do a football room.

you could put deers on the wall, or you could put john deere sweaters or pants on the walls to make it seem more real.

if your boy is old enough then let him finish the walls off himself.he will be really chufffed with his handy work.they love it but give him limits or he could go wild with the paint.
