You atheists seem like the most normal people that I have ever known. And not brainwashed at all and delusional like others. You actually see reality and life for what it is.

so if it is okay with you, I can email you and we can talk about atheism. I don't look at atheism a religion. I look at it like a group of people that looks at reality, and reality only. Atheism is not a religion to me. It pretty much normal. Religion is a waste of time for people who believe in fantasy.

If it is okay with you. I can contact you and talk more about atheism. You can also email me and we can talk.

What do you think is the meaning of life?

There is no "meaning of life". There's just life. You live and you die. Maybe, somewhere in the middle, you'll have a little fun.

What I can tell you about life is that the one you've got now is the only one you're going to get. After you're gone, you're gone. So, make the most of it. Don't get bogged down in petty nonsense. Be good to the other people sharing the planet at this point in time. Take enjoyment from simple things. Find your own moral compass and behave as if a big invisible guy were watching you even if you know there isn't one--in the end, YOU are the judge of your behavior, and you need to be able to live with yourself. I thank you for your rational comments.

religious or not, each person has a different take on meaning of life.
the most important things to me, while living my life is that i maintain ethical, logical, practical, and rational.
Fear and Hate are learned, I refuse to except any other reasoning other than these are learned, and taught, and religions base so much on them.
I do not believe jesus was the son of god, or a god would have a messenger, nor do i have to.
I strive to be a healthy well adjusted citizen, I pay my taxes, love my family, friends, and this green earth.

You may really be more interested in philosophy, and I suggest you read in the subject. Atheism is not a belief system or a way to organize your life.

Ya know, I go out of my way to make sure none of my responses say anything disparaging about atheists.

Personally, I would really like to be afforded the same courtesy.

I kind of agree with you on this...I think a lot of america is def. brainwashed...but you don't know what happens when you die. No one does and it is scary to think that you just die and that is it...even if that is the case...A lot of time people preach all this stuff about heaven and it sounds great but it is like they are trying to convince themselves as well...what gets me is they act like they know...no one knows....and people should be able to believe what they want without judgement...most religious people are hippocrites anyways....

All things arise due to causes and conditions, are changing and impermanent, which includes matter and concepts.

Every sentient being wants one thing usually and that is to be happy. How each one approaches finding happiness is vastly different, according to their own causes and conditions in life, so meanings will vary too, accordingly.

Ugh, the meaning of life is such an overused question, before we can answer that, must we not know the value of life?
