The pain you are feeling could be from many different causes besides appendicitis.Do you have a high fever?Usually appendicitis causes fever.Does your abdomen hurt when you are still? If not then I doubt it could be appendicitis.
I would go to your doctor and get checked out either way.It could be quite serious.

Do you feel pain when you release from pressing down on your lower right abdomen? It's called rebound pain, and it is a classic symptom of appendicitis. It won't hurt when you press down, as much as it does when you let up. If you have a fever, and nausea and vomiting, it would not be a bad idea to get it checked out. If they do a blood test and the white blood cell count is elevated, then most likely you have appendicitis. But to be sure, the Dr will probably order a CT scan, even though it is not absolutely necessary. The 3 classic symptoms they used to diagnose it prior to CT technology, are: Right lower quadrant rebound pain, fever with nausea, and sometimes vomiting, and a high white blood cell count. I had it when I was ten, and my daughter just had it last spring at the age of 27.
I say get it checked out because it is better to be safe than sorry, if it ruptures, you get a bad infection, and end up in the hospital on IV antibiotics for a week or so. If they get it before it rupturs they can remove it via the Laparascope, and you go home the same, or next day.

tahirah, appendicitis is nothing to fool around with. A ruptured appendix is a very serious thing. Get offline and call the doctor. Not every patient has every symptom.

Mine hurt on the curve bit of my side and it was a mild infection that has now been cleared up with antibiotics.

if you have the slightest suspicion that it's appendicitis, get yourself to the doc.
