Global warming is a hot issue these days. Al Gore and Arnie Schwarzenegger are in it. The United Nations is discussing about it. World leaders are concerned about it. Humans are being blamed for the shrinking of the Arctic ice cap and the disappearance of lakes in Africa and many other adverse weather phenomena that we are experiencing. If this warming of the earth is caused by humans, why is it that in Mars where there are no humans, its polar ice cap has been shrinking as well? Scientists are even puzzled at what is happening.
Could we not attribute these significant weather changes to God? Could we not consider this warming as a warning sign from God to us?
Did you know that the Holy Spirit revealed 19 prophecies on 1979 October 19. They

The Holy Spirit told us that the drought that we will experience will be worse than what Israel experienced in ancient times. This will eventually be worldwide. Manila will disappear from the map, maybe due to the rise of sea water level. These are some events that we are facing. They may take years before they happen but they will happen just like the 100-year warning of Noah about the coming flood.
Don’t you think that it is high time that we come back to God? We better change our wrong beliefs and our wrong and evil ways before death overcomes us. Let us do it now before it’s too late.

To skepsis – Marcial Aguila was the author of the article that was published in the Philippine Panorama. He was one of the listeners of the Holy Spirit who was present when the prophecies were revealed. I just found the article accidentally in 1982, two years after it was published.

Mars is a completely different climate. Its polar regions are far colder than Earth's and its icecaps are made of carbon dioxide, not water. Overheating is not its problem.
As for Earth, you may be right. It may be all up to God. But let us ask Mr. Paschal what he thinks. If we take steps to fight global warming only to find out God is in charge, we've wasted only time. But if we turn to God and pray for mercy without any other proactive effort, then we find out God either doesn't exist or is testing our stewardship of the Earth, we'll be toast. Which is the more prudent option?
And I would like to know how a newspaper got an interview with the Holy Spirit?

Well they didn't sign the Kyoto Accords, so they deserve it. Damn Martian capitalists.
Added: Actually it is happening pretty much everywhere in the Solar System that we have good data on. Triton, Pluto, Mars and several other places are experiencing it. The Sun is actually a little higher in output right now, but cycles are normal. I can give you sources if you email me.

That's far from a scientific or even logical argument. There are no humans on Mars, and to top it off Mars is significantly different, astronomically speaking than Earth is so many ways that your arguement reads as a bit ridiculous.

The sun has an eleven year cycle that increase and decreases it's exothemric effects. Yes we ar ewarming now, but if the cycle is steady we will cool in just a few years.

Actually, there are scientists who believe that global warming is being caused by increased solar activity rather than pollution and greenhouse gases.
And i'd like to reiterate Reilly's answer and add to it by saying...... There is no god and the bible is a book of fairy tales.

I don't buy the global warming is a man made problem hype either.... The earth naturally has heating and cooling cycles. This is a natural cycle.
