Hard candy, like Jolly Ranchers are good. Mike & Ike's, popcorn, any type of candy that won't easily melt. Skittles I think would be okay, gum, Life Savers, etc.

Don't send chocolate, it'll melt, it's not cool enough yet I don't think for that. :) If you have kids, have them color some Halloween pictures for daddy and put those in there.

One year I got a plastic pumpkin and put in all sorts of treats for hubby to have, and he really LOVED it!

Look for fun stuff at Walmart, they have little novelty stuff that can really be cute and he'll appreciate it!

I always put stickers on the outside of the package too! Make it fun, they really love it! Gosh...now I want to go make my hubby a Halloween package, just thinking about it has me in the mood!

I just recently got back from Iraq, I spent last year over there are for Halloween my mom sent me and my roomates and they guy I was dating those little pumpkin baskets filled with candy. Then she sent use each a halloween card with 5 bucks in it (not alot but she sent it to 6 people at the time so...
Then she sent my and my best friend Dez Halloween decoations for our rooms and just cute and silly little halloween stuff....chocolate will hold up this time of the year so if (s)he likes chocolate send it!! send it while its cool out side!
And also ask them if they need anything (dip and ciggarets get kinda expensive over there)

dont send naughty pictures like others suggested, sometime boxes get into the wrong hands and you wouldnt want that....

send orange and black rice crispy treats, just don't send a bunch of mnts in the same package, the minty taste some how rubs off on to them even if they are both completely sealed in different ways!
hope this helped a little!
if you need more help with care packages feel free to email me!

I would send treats and photos. Perhaps a video of grade school events, kids trick-or-treating and Halloween parties. It helps make the soldier feel a part of what is going on at home. Perhaps some innocuous costume elements such as clowns and cartoon characters. Try to stay away from the horror aspects. There is enough of the real thing in his life already and avoid political masks and other jokes. Do not send George W or Hillary masks for instance. It is a time for fun not controversy or disrespect.

Last year my husband and his buddies asked me and their wives/girlfriends to send him a buch of Star Wars stuff. He and his buddies dressed up and took pictures and sent them back to me and their girlfriends/wives. Also put the usual care package items in there. Pictures, letters, candy etc. You could make some cute Halloween cookies, just make sure to package them really well so they won't be crushed when he gets them.

send him a pinyada (a mexican pinyada...don't know how to spell it...it has candy in it, can hit it and they can blow off some steam) unless it would be too expensive to send over there for you, but thats what I would do. One of my favorite thins to do was hide little love notes in his stuff he packed before he deployed and hopefully he would slowily find them as he unpacked his stuff. 4 thanksgiving send something from figis or swiss colony like a ham or some kind of meat that you and he would eat for thanksgiving, 4 christmas, send some goodies you made or somethingyour unit is selling at a bake sell, 4 valentines, you can use your imagination, ect.

Just the normal "care package" stuff, plus some of his favorite candy bars, some sexy pictures of yourself and some fun gag gifts. That's what I would do anyway.
