I have very dry skin on my face and I've tried so many different ways to get rid of it but nothing is seeming to work...I try to wear cover up but everytime i do, my skin comes off all flakey even when i apply it with mosturizing creams. How can i reduce the look of dry skin while wearing cover up or get rid of my dry skin all together?

It may not be dry skin; it could be dermatitis. I thought I had dry skin, but I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed me a mixture of Eladil and ketoconazole. I use it and the flaking has cleared. You may want to try an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream for a few days. If that helps then you may have dermatitis. There's no cure for it, you have to manage it. Don't use cortisone creams on your face for an extended period because it will age your skin rapidly. Good luck. 2D

Hello, I used to have dry skin too. Now I don't know your skin type so probably the best bet for you is to go to a dermatologist but let me tell you what helps me. On my face I use a cream called "Nivea" it comes in a blue jar. Every day when I'm in the shower I use an apricot scrub to exfoliate my skin. Then when I get out of the shower, I immediately apply baby oil to my whole body, except for my face and butt. I pat my face dry with my towel and apply the "Nivea" cream to my face. It will give your face kind of an oily appearance so when I finish getting ready and I'm ready for my make up I use a powder concealer to take the oil away. This works great for me. My face is no longer dry and people tell me I have great skin! I also put a non-deodorant body lotion on my entire body when I get out of the shower except for my face and butt. I hope this helps you if you want to try it it's very easy and really doesn't take any extra time at all. =)

Try taking vitamin E. It's essential for healing & regeneration processes at the cellular level. It healed a dry skin patch I had, that nothing but petroleum jelly would do anything for. I'd expect it to take several weeks for results to appear.
