Challenged my opinion? No-
Challenged my opinion or knowledge of someone else's faith- yes.
I've been wrong here before- I'll admit that. I've also walked into arguments with theists where they quote something I haven't heard since I was a theist, so I'd go back- read the text- and possibly re-interpret from there.
If anything its made me better at backing myself up in an argument.

No. Although there are a number of people on this forum who seem to derive some sort of twisted pleasure in belittling others' beliefs, and some who are infantile, and others who are just plain mean, you have to consider the source. I enjoy talking to others who have honest questions or have unique interpretations. So, I ignore those that just try to be disruptive. It would take a lot more than a few words on a computer screen to challenge my faith.
What about you?

No.
This forum needn't be a battlefield. I think some people are out to build up their own ideas by belittling everyone else's.
Those are usually pretty easy to spot and should be ignored.
Generic example: All people who believe X are slobbering morons. (Gee, that sure felt good!)
confession: I use this forum as an interesting way to pass the time between loads of laundry...not too seriously...

Yes, at a young age i saw the hypocracy of the religious zealots in my home town. I guess they think if nobody talks openly or finds out about there sins, god wont care.

They have changed the way I view OTHER faiths, but I'm constantly learning and questioning and exploring my own beliefs anyway, so it's not like anything in R&S has caused any sort of crisis.

Dodged everything, learned alot. Hope I gave back to others in a way that benefits.
Now, friendly fire? Got it a couple times from those that have misunderstood my words. No biggie though.

Nope. On the contrary it strengthens it.
like my bit about the flying spaghetti monster. The weak are not worth defending. I have learned my lesson.

Nah, Buddhism teaches me well. The only thing left to get "wounded" is my ego, which happens once in a great while, but then I catch it and recall to mind that such grasping at my own ego is foolishness.

Some, yes.
And the guy, despite refusing to even listen to my arguments, repeated that he respected me while he accused me of intellectual dishonesty and stupidity.
It was frustrating, and while it didn't change my opinions it did make me question them. At least until I realized that he was attacking ME and not my philosophy with his arguments. My philosophy was fine, his arguments were specious.

I'm not some soft, weak, fleshy human.
I'm a Badger.
We're made of tougher stuff than you give us credit for...... and no nonsensical human blather is going to change that.
