I have identical twins. The egg splits and shares the same placenta. Paternal twin, are 2 fertilized eggs and 2 different placentas. Typically in this case, produces a male and a female.

Two eggs are fertilized. One by a sperm with an X chromosome and one by a sperm with a Y chromosome.

Two different eggs, fertilized by two different sperm. Therefore one can be a girl and one can be a boy.Its just chance.

Good luck if your trying.

You can't do anything to guarantee it. You just be grateful and happy that you have been given the miracle of two healthy babies.
