Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Illinois state lawmakers passed a state law banning any employer from using the voluntary federal program that can help a company figure out if they have illegal aliens working for them. Should the federal government arrest and charge these people? Im all for state rights, but to ban a "good" program that can weed out illegals aliens from our workforce is criminal. What is Illinois now a safe haven state? I thought we only had safe haven cities. I guess if Illinois had a better program specifically for this, then refusing to use our federal governments one would be OK, but this is not the case. When a state starts to work against the people, then I have no problem with the federal government stepping in to kick some pro-illegal immigration as*! I hope this governor is not only arrested and charged with a federal crime, but I hope he actually serves some time. Betraying your own country should be a death sentence, no matter who u are.

Roadhazzard-The state is on the offense. The federal government is on defense. The state of ILL has already won the first battle, who said this could never happen? U.
Guy below him-if u study up its not just libs that are pushing garbage like this through, its the so called republican base thats doing little to prevent this. whats up with that?

if you live in Illinois, vote there azzes out of office on the next election. email and call the traitors and tell them they will not have your vote and hopefully others will not vote. get a group of people together and go after their jobs.

Keep calling the offices and let them know how you feel. I cannot believe they are doing this. He has done so many things for the illegals that I can't believe it. He was the one who also wants to give the illegals drivers license. I hope this is slapped down in its tracks and Illinois is no longer known as a safe haven for criminals. I wonder if Mayor Dayley has ever thought about how this looks to the rest of the world (his bid for the 2016 Olympics) having so many criminals welcomed and a state who will not enforce laws.

Of all the states I could have been born in, I got the second most liberal.
at least, it seems that way.
The moron of a govenor can't even be bothered to push Jessica's law. who can actually believe he has our best interests at heart?

Get a life! He is the elected representative for the majority of the voters in Illinois. Since when has your political philosophy become the law of the land. I know you do not speak for me and Millions of other Americans in this Country.
This issue will be decided at the next Illinois general election or by the legal system.
