Because that is old Mosaic law. If you read Acts you find
9About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
14"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
16This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.
Then...
27Talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people. 28He said to them: "You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with a Gentile or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean. 29So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. May I ask why you sent for me?"
Christ freed us from the Mosaic law.

There is a very strong contingent of Christians that believe the coming of Jesus signalled the fulfillment of the law. Jesus himself says, I come not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. It's an odd mix of belief, dogma, scripture etc.
In the new testament, there is a reference to making of all things clean...either you believe the story of Peter or you do not, I guess.
It's an interesting question because if you broaden it to the whole scope of the old testament, you have to wonder why it's important at all, except perhaps from the standpoint of setting context for the coming of Jesus. This raises the question: If Jesus did indeed fulfill and as some here suggest, removed the restrictions of law of Moses...then there are a lot of things that would have to change...most notably here in our society, the way homosexuals are viewed.

Some think that Prophet Isa(PBUH*) is a God(Astaghirfullah!) and think that Prophet Isa(PBUH*) made pork clean. Some are just Christian and only follow parts of the Injeel(Bible) that they like or want to follow why ignoring everything else.

The Bible says a lot of things.
Christianity has always interpreted the Bible from within its own pre-existing tradition.

Because of the death and resurrection of Christ, Christians are not required to follow all the prohibition of the Old Testament.

They actually follow the teachings of Paul.
They forget that Jesus commanded them to obey the law of Moses. There are 613 commandments not jut 10.
