Credit cards show where the purchases were made - not what the items were.

Some department store charge cards itemize and show everything you bought.

Checks stay on file with the bank and show the amount and location, but not what the items were.

CCs only show you the store and the dollar amount you spent.
Checks show what you wrote on them. And to the person that said you get your checks back at the end of the month. That is not true for all financial institutions so you may want to check with your bank. Some banks charge you to get your checks back.

The credit card will show where you bought, not what.It will show how much you spent, at that store. A check, you will get a copy of your checks at the end of the month.
