A 30 x 9.50 / 15in is a good choice if you haven't lowered yer axel's gear ratio.If you go taller you'll find that 1st gear feels like 2nd.

With the stock suspension, you can clear 31" tires, and with a 2" lift you will clear 33" tires. The 1979-1983 trucks had large wheel wells, and can clear larger tires. I would'nt go more than a 3-4 inch lirt, and 35" tires. That will be fine for just about every off road situation you'll come across. Any higher than that, and you are looking at stability issues, as well as driveline issues, and whatever state or local law are in your area. Not to mentionthat trucks with too much lift look ridiculous.

it depends on if your talking about a 4wd or a 2wd. lord knows why anyone lifts a 2wd but people do it...

im going to assume a 4wd.

with a 2.5" your lookin at probably 30" im not sure what is exactly on the truck stock.

as far as a 7" lift, your up to 35" tires.

one thing i see is you dont specify the type of lift your planning for the 7". remember 1-2" tops for a body lift. any more than that and youll run into more problems than its worth

31x10.50's fit on there without any lift.

33x12.50 should fit with that 2.5" lift

With 7"...37x12.50's or bigger? That's a lot of lift!

You could always trim a little bit and fit bigger tires with less lift or no lift.
