Muslims claim that the Qur’an is true because it has not changed since it was revealed to Muhammad during the 7th century AD. On the other hand, Muslims claim that the Holy Bible has been altered. We know that the Holy Bible consists of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Regarding the Old Testament, what have been altered? Are they in conflict with the belief of Islam?

To CB4UP - Am I in conflict with the beliefs of Christianity? On the contrary, I find the Old Testament’s prophecies fulfilled with the advent of Jesus. That is why I cannot dissociate the Old Testament from the New Testament. God the Father spoke through the prophets in the Old Testament. The same God manifested Himself in the flesh in the person of Jesus Christ and documented in the New Testament. After Jesus died and ascended to Heaven, He came back to be everywhere, not just confined in Israel and during that short period, but until the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). You see, there is continuity and no contradictions.

To all - The Old Testament is the Hebrew Bible called Tanakh. Tanakh is divided into 24 books of 3 sections (Torah, Neviim, Ketuvim, or Pentateuch, Prophets, Hagiographa).

Yes the bible has been changed but why?

the first person to convert the bible into English was burnt at the stake
Because people could freely read the word of God, and power was taken away from the corrupt churches who did the whole thing in Latin

in Deuteronomy and in the desert it says

A man can not live off bread and water but by the word of God and all things that proceedeth from his voice

If you change the word of God, you can't live by all things that proceedeth from his voice

Funny, the way Jesus was quoting the old testament eh?

The bible has been altered so you will not know the whole word of God

The Vatican has their own set of ten commandments, not the ones that God gave us, but their own bunch which they deem far more important

And then they say oh it's Vatican law that can't be changed don't you know

The Vatican changed the sabbath in 364 ad at the council of Ladoceia, you have The first pope Constantine to thank for that one

Changes the sabbath to Sunday, because he worshiped the
sun

Funny, the only commandment everyone has forgotten was the one that begins...with the word Remember

Remember my sabbath s, as they will be used as seal from me to you

What is a seal, it's a person's name, Job, and Domain

George bush, president of America

God, Creator of Heaven and Earth

so the anti christ needs a counter-fit seal, the Sunday

God's mark is his sabbath, the anti christ seal is his altered sabbath 'black sabbath' if you will

so you either receive god's mark, Saturday worship, or the anti-christ's mark Sunday worship

The microchip thing, hand or head, will be used to enforce Sunday worship, as well as make sure you are not a terrorist or illegal immigrant

Yes i know, they tend to leave that one out at Sunday school

As far as the Christian Bible and it's many incarnations are concerned - YES, there have been many changes throughout time. Changes in wording according to the changes in meaning of words as time went on, as well as the MAJOR change made by the Council of Nicea when they chose WHICH books would be included in the Christian Bible. We don't have the full version. They threw many books out. Wonder what was in the ones that they declared anathema and burned. Wonder if there was possibly a powerful Female that they were afraid of? Google - Council of Nicea to see the full story.

I don't think that any one religion has all of the puzzle pieces and that the ultimate goal of the Creator is for all of us to stop our fighting and listen to each other long enough to put the puzzle together.

The Qu'ran was completely lost during some battle then reconstructed from peoples memory.

The bible has gone through so many misinterpretations and copying errors that it my as well be a copy of Alice in Wonderland.

The point is THAT THERE IS NO POINT! Both of these books are machinations of the human authors and scribes that composed them.

The claim is true. The OT and the NT have both been altered. Look up the facts.

Jews claim the same thing,

They say the Christian OT has been altered.

That is why they dont use it...... and the Muslims AGREE with them.

As per Christianity the Jews are Gods chosen ones.

Are you in conflict with the beliefs of Christianity ?
