Example: Does a "spring course" really happen from April to June ?

I´m not used to count the time using the seasons, but the months.

Thanks in advance for any help.

"Spring" is a very loose term. Sometimes it can apply to a specific season of the year (March 22-June 21st in the US, although it can be different in other countries).

If you are talking about a semester in school, it is definitely not these dates though - it just means the part of the year that falls in the spring, as opposed to the part that is in the fall/autumn. Usually spring semester in colleges is something like the end of January through May with spring break in the middle.

In the UK, colleges, universities and educational institutions often use Spring Semester/Term to describe the January to April (or up to Easter) period. So a 'Spring Course' here happens then.

It's probably different in other parts of the world (like Australia ;-) )

ok. here when I say or hear the spring, I mean the monthes, from march to last week of may. i don't use the calendar overly much but the weather. For example, I think of fall, when the trees are all yellowy/ orangey and there is no green on them. that does not always coincide with the calendar saying it is fall. For example, winter is when it is coool outside, not when the calendar says it is winter outside.

Spring depends on which region of earth you are from. So the specific months will vary depending on the person's country of origin.
