You can cash it at any Bank of America branch. Check on-line to find one close to you.

Bank of America, like most larger banks, charges a fee to cash checks for non-customers, even if the check is drawn on Bank of America. With a check that large, they will want multiple IDs.

The problem is there are so many scams where people are sent bogus checks. If you do open a bank account, which would be a good idea for that much money, you won't be able to take any cash for probably1 or 2 weeks -- till the check clears.

A friend of mine went to Bank of America to do just that-cash a check drawn on their bank. The teller required three! forms of ID. My friend had a driver's license and a birth certificate and the teller refused stating more ID was needed, like a state ID, Credit card, passport-all due to Homeland security and how it trickles down to affect you. Hopefully you will have a better experience with the branch near you, perhaps they will accept a driver's license and birth certificate. If this doesn't work, call your Aunt and ask if she can send it by POSTAL Money Order(s) and you will tear up the check. It is getting tougher by the week to get things done.

Yes many gas stations will cash your checks for you, and there are business such as Ace that only cash checks.

However, all of the above alternatives charge a fee for each check cashed. I'd open a bank account if I were you; it's free for a checking account.

You can go to a Bank of America and cash it but without a bank account with them they may charge you a small fee.

You can cash any check at the bank that issued it if you don't have an account. They may charge you a small fee though.

Go to Bank of America near you and find out what their check cashing policies are.
Why don't you have any bank accounts?

Start an account there & give my name as a reference. We will both benefit like $25 each, if the special refer a friend is still going on. I'd be glad to give you a referral.

As long as you purchase something and have valid ID most liquer stores will cash it. Other wise, open a savings account!
