Oye, don't go with Ginger or something like that. Go nuts, have fun. I fully support "Gizmo", though I might save it for a brown and white animal, just because of the namesake. My friend has a ginger male named "Optimus Prime", which I think is perfect, but that may be just because "Optimus Prime" is a great name regardless. I have a thing for mythical/historical names (my cat is Prometheus) so I would agree with the previous vote for "Zeus" though I would also consider "Beelzebub" ("Beelz" for short, especially if you're a Stephen Lynch fan), "Harry Connick Jr." just because that's funny and random, or maybe "Icarus". Have fun with it. And don't let anyone give a stupid nickname to your cat! My mom still calls mine "P-Kitty", which is just sad. Good luck with your naming!

We named our ginger kitten Ash (as in Ash from The Evil Dead films). Turned out to be a girl. She is now 15 and called Ashley. Very cute.

Oh you lucky thing! I've wanted a ginger tom for years and year, but due to ill health could never look after one. I always said I would choose from Rufus, Red or Marmaduke (Duke for short)! I do wish you could show us a picture, I'm quite envious now, lol:-D xxx

I understand in Australia a ginger headed person is nicknamed "BLUE".
That would be a nice name and also a good talking point when people hear you shouting for it.

My friend has a ginger cat, it has circle like markings on her back, so the kids called her Weeto, after the breakfast cereal !
