It could be a mammary tumor. It could be a fatty tumor. It could be anything.

The only person who can tell you what it is would be your dog's vet. Take her in for a senior check up.

I'm not a vet and can't tell you what those lumps are. What I can tell you is that you have no idea what could be internal. Those lumps might be nothing more then fatty tumors BUT your vet is the only one who can diagnose what's going on with your pet. Please take your pet to the vet as soon as possible. Good Luck

We had a Germman Sheppard/Golden Lab Mix she was 11 1/2 and she had the same problem as your dog. We took her to the Vet and they told us that it was just fatty tissue. Even if we did touch one her fatty spots by accident she growled at us. The Vet had to remove one because it burst on her. You Might want to take your dog to the Vet and make sure it is not cancer you can't always go by someone tells you.

This is most likely a fatty deposit, which is common on older dogs. Many dogs have multiple deposits, and they can be found all over the body. However, it could be a malignant growth (cancer) and the only way to know for sure is to take her to the vet. They can do a biopsy (they take a small sample) and check it for you. Your 13 year old dog deserves for you to be sure.

I have seen such lumps before. They might be cysts. As for them not being cancer- well, only a vet can do the tests that can determine what these lumps are.

Just fat, I think. My dog has the same thing, but his lumps are bigger, and the vet said not to worry about it.

A visit to the vet should help answer your questions. Only a doctor can diagnose whats going on with your dog. Good luck, i hope she's ok!

My dog has lumps like that & she'd bite your hand off for even thinking about touching them, but they're only fat.

Whoever told you that is full of crap.

Your dog needs to go to the vet for a biopsy.
