To win the National Lottery you need to buy a ticket.
Even if you buy a ticket and win, it is up to you to check your numbers and file your claim with Camelot HQ - they do not come looking for you. If no-one claims the jackpot within 180 days then it goes to good causes and you can kiss it goodbye.
In short, this is a scam, and not a clever one at that. Still, people fall for it every day.
