I think you need to give more details: in what case do you need an explanation of even?
EVEN: like in "get even" means to get revenge, to be at same level with another person by means of revenge.
EVEN: like in "even things" is a number that has same ends, that has balanced structure. Like even numbers (pari numeri) , divisible by 2.
EVEN: like "even I am answering" means "too" "also". It goes befor the noun you're referring it to (unlike "too", which goes at the end of the noun you're referirng it to). let me give you an example to understand it better.
I am answering this question too - (it means that I've answered some questions or I've been doing some things, and I'm doing this too)
I am answering this question also / also this question / I am also ... - also is more versatile and it can go in most places in the sentence
I am even answering this question - it means that it's as if it's something extra, EVEN this question, apart from others.
Got it?

In English, even has several uses:
1) it means that things are equal on both sides.
2) it means numbers divisible by 2. For example, 2, 4,6,8,10,12 are all even numbers.
3) it can be used to imply "additional" of something, such as "He has even more candy than you."
4) in old, poetic english, it can be a contraction for "evening". this is often used as "eventide" or "eventime". This is NOT used very often, is is typically seen in old poetry.

You might try using the babel fish translator to learn English. Just enter words in your language (Spanish or Portuguese?) in one translator box and select English in the other. If you have access to DVD's where you can hear the movie in Spanish but have English subtitles this could help you even more. Note that I used even in the last sentence. It means in addition to in that sentence. I'm certain you will learn much more with my suggestions because it will even (make level) your comprehension. God bless, good luck and welcome to the USA!

if the soccer game ended with a score of 3-3 the score was even
when the hairdresser cuts your hair she makes sure it is even(level all the way across)
it also means something like "although" ie...i love you even if you don't love me back
it is also meaning something like equal....if you are losing the game because they have better players you can put your star player in to even the odds
