My aesthetics are subjective - they are in me. Aesthetics are not an objective truth. That's why you and I don't listen to the same music.

You mean the world looks so pretty, god MUST exist? If you're okay believing that, keep on.

Creation implies a creator. Athiests do not think creation by a more complex life form is likely because of the obvious logical problems with such an idea.

The answer is we don't know for sure how we came into being but we suspect that there existed some sort of conditions under which life could form spontaneously. I think in the near future, we will actually be able to do some experiments to reproduce these conditions, and then we will have our answer as to whether that is possible.

To me saying "I don't know" is far more intelligent than saying that supernatural powers did it.

From the average atheistic point of view there is no "creation." We would explain that as the Christian (and other religious) view of how the universe / earth / life came about.

I think brane theory and the big bang are good starts. The answer is that we really don't know for certain just yet.

My rebuttal to the obvious undertones of your question is this: just because I don't know, doesn't mean I give up and say "God did it." That is a viewpoint that leads to no new discoveries and is a dead-end for learning.

Additionally, if you base your belief of a creator on just the things we don't know, then your creator gets smaller over time. When civilizations attribute things like rain, weather, lightning, etc... to gods, then once you figure out how those things work, the gods tend to go away. Similiarly, as we have figured out more and more, all god has left is creation and death.

"Creation" is a natural process in this universe. Evolution describes the process... it started with the simplest of replicators (simpler than RNA)... and over an unimaginable length of time gradually increased in complexity. Those variations that were beneficial, or survived better were able to continue reproducing... that is why we are so perfectly fit for our environment (and all the plants & animals are so perfectly fit for where they live on the planet).

This was grossly simplified... you would need to read many books to really understand the concept of evolution.

I'm not sure that there was ever a creation point. Of course, many would argue that it all started with the Big Bang.

It was a very long process. Single celled organisms evolved into multi-cellular, then they kept getting bigger and bigger until they got to the early form of the aquatic life we see today. They kept getting bigger and eventually an amphibious creature came to being. These evolved into two different beings, the reptiles and the mammals. Some of the reptiles grew to be big and powerful dinosaurs, forcing the mammals to thrive in ground-dwelling roles. Then a giant meteor crashed into the earth and killed the dinosaurs, thus giving the opportunity for mammals to grow. More evolution happened and we're here.

Creation of what? I don't believe the universe, or life, were 'created'.

Atheist.

Creation of the Universe - you mean the Big Bang?

Creation of life - possibly abiogenesis? Probably requires more research.

The beauty of atheism is that it allows you to say "I don't know yet", without simply saying "God did it".

Go look up Cosmogony, Brane Theory and the Big Bang.

You may not understand it, but that doesn't make any difference to its accuracy.
