If you can't see an ophthamologist, see your family doctor or nurse practitioner. They can examine the internal structures of your eye and advise you accordingly, including referring you onto opthamology if necessary. Meanwhile, try to rest your eye and avoid activities that may worsen your eye strain, including jarring activities (bending forward, squatting) which increases the pressure in your eyes/head.

As the previous responder advised, you should seek professional help, particularly if the strain continues. Best wishes and hope you're 100 % again soon!

Dryness never occurs due to glasses. Dryness can be various causes. Infact contact lenses can precipitate dryness. It can get worse by very cold or hot weather and associated eye/general conditions. There are some drugs when used can cause dryness as a side effect. Dryness can be more symptomatic if spent more time reading or at computer, because these activities reduce the blinking rate and increase the exposure to air leading to more dryness. You need first consultation with an eyedoc and may need some tear supplements.

you should go to an ophthalmologist immediately. You do not want a play around with something that could threaten your eyes.
