All you need is a product like Advantage or Frontline. With Advantage all you need to do is put it on your pet & all fleas will die within a 24hr period & kill any fleas in your home within a 48hr period. Fleas must feed every 24 hrs & will leap on your pet for dinner at least once a day & with Advantage it won't have time for dessert LOL. If you have some how gotten fleas & have no pets ask your local vet about sprays or flea bombs. Dont even bother with store products. They don't work & are messy. Flea collars are obsolete. Some ppl like to use them in their vaccuum cleaners.

I agree with Mindy- just treat your pet with a product like advantage- it usually works in 48- 72 hours. all fleas should be gone as it kills the fleas on your pets and then when they walk through the house the remaining fleas will get on the pet and then die as well. has always worked for me and I have 11 cats. I also wash all bedding and never allow laundry to build up (ok at this time *LOL*) as the fleas hide in there and it just makes it easier and quicker if cloth articles are not around for the fleas to hide in. I don't know if vacuuming helps as I do not have carpeting in my home.

First treat the animal if you have one. I treat my cat/dog with a capstar pill which kills the fleas on them. I put them on the porch so I dont have dead fleas laying over the house. Then I put frontline on them. I take them either to my parents house or a friends house and then put off flea bombs in my home. It seems to help at my home. Hope this helps you out.

You get some flea spray from a vet - something like Indorex, Acclaim, Staykil or Skoosh. Don't even bother using anything from a petshop, especially those damn flea bombs. Pet shops are not licensed to sell the chemicals that work.

Use all of these: Flea sprays, pesticide carpet deodorizer (but they actually stink), vacuum everyday, use a wet vacuum about every two weeks.

You didn't mention whether or not you have pets, because their comes more work with getting rid of fleas... but you didn't mention it.

You should use a mixture of boric acid and salt. Boric acid acts as a desiccant and dries out the exoskeleton of the flea, but does not have any side effect on human beings or animals. Check this out http://pests.in/fleas.html

Get rid of your pets.... Just kidding.... Hire an exterminator.... use those flea bombs from a super market or Wal-Mart, some towns have a do it yourself extermination store, check your yellow pages.
