They don't.
Society (that is all of us as a whole) *teaches* men, from infancy, that they are less capable as nurturers. Some men give into those societal expectations.
Society *teaches* women that they are more important as nurturers than men - that men are dispensable when it comes to children. This causes some women to push men out of the role when they see them in it.
We could choose to teach men to be more confident in their role as nurturers, if we wanted to. Just like we, as a society, chose to teach women to be more confident in their roles in the business world, over the past few decades. It's really up to us, as a society & what we want to do.

It is not that father's don't love their kids mom tend to preotect more & look uo more for their kids and in a way father's do get a little jelousy due to this for example I love my kids with a my heart , i try to protect them but not over protect them,i do care for them and i could say that i will give my life for them.. I guess the fact of having them inside us for 9 months and the pain we went through in labor it make us (mom's) love them more .. I always told them they are a piece of me & in a way is true but it is also a piece of dad.. My hubby do love them but I guess we mom's do spoiled them a little more..I do love them very much they are part of me & will always be my little ones !!

That doesn't always happen. SOme dads lack that need to nurture. That being said, some mom's lack that as well. Hopefully babies get born into a family where both parents love to nurture equally.

Don`t believe that at all, i have to kid`s 12 and 11, girl and a boy , I have done more for my kid`s than their mom ever will, recently my daughter had to write a small essay on who she admires, it kind of upset me that she wrote about her mom who does nothing for her, but i think she did`nt want to hurt her feelings. LOVING FATHER

it's not that mommies love them more, they are different kinds of love, but both love them to death. A mommy's love is very different from a dad's love. Moms carry their babies for 9 months, breastfeed, etc, those are special bondings and experiences a dad will never have, but that doesn't mean we love them more that dad's do.

I think my husband would be offended by this question. He is a great Dad and I seriously don't think I love them more or less than he does. I don't think this statement reflects the average Dad.

Not in my experience. My dad raised me on his own after our mom decided that kids were too big a hassle for her, and my husband loves our daughters to a fault.

Why are you assuming this?
My husband adores our two children, ages 8 and 5. We made them together, they are a part of both of us, and he loves them very much. :)

That may have happened to people you know, but it's just not true in general.
