My Dad in Heaven can beat up your dad like one can throw a pebble to the earth but you see rebellion was not to be overcome by force. Compelling power is found only under Satan's government. The Lord's principles are not of this order. His authority rests upon goodness, mercy, and the presentation of these principles is the means to be used.

It was a being of wonderful power and glory that had set himself against God. Of Lucifer the Lord says, "Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty." Ezekiel 28:12. Lucifer had been the covering cherub. He had stood in the light of God's presence. He had been the highest of all created beings, and had been foremost in revealing God's purpose to the universe. After he sinned, his power to deceive was the more deceptive, and the unveiling of his character was the more difficult, because of the exalted position he had held with the Father. God could have destroyed Satan and his sympathizers as easily as one can cast a pebble to the earth; but He did not do this. God's government is moral, and truth and love are to be the prevailing power!

NO it's like saying the Easter Bunny is better than the tooth fairy.

We'd be able to test and either prove or disprove the "my dad can beat up your dad" statement.

The religion statement isn't based in reality (like the fictional characters I mentioned) so it's entirely a statement of opinion.

Opinions, being completely non-factual, are pointless to argue, and therefore the exact reason we still have people debating which one they think is better all over the world.

Absolutely.......I just want you to know something about my God. You see, I got a phone call that my 16 year old was in a terrible accident on his way to school. They air lifted him to the best trauma unit in the state. He was in a coma for 32 days. Got to see hell and what they do to you there. He refusus to go back and chooses to worship Jesus Christ. We do not go to church but are looking to get back in on Sunday at least. Some churches make you feel guilty if you don't go 5 days a week. Hope this helps and I hope you never have to see what my son did. He was rescessitated so he probably died a few minutes-said he awoke to air being forced into his lungs (2 collapsed w/ 13 broken ribs.) Don't allow someone to force religion on you. Please follow your heart and peace.

Yes, but generally they don't argue about which one is more powerful, or mormans would conceid.

More like "My delusion is more plausible than your delusion cause there really were slaves in egypt......nobody argues that, so my stories must be true...."

I worship the teenage mutant ninja turtles....."There really are sewers in new york, so the teenage mutant ninja turtles must be real....we just can't find them cause they are hiding.....but we can see the good they do every time a criminal trips inexplicibly....."

LOL
Like the bumper stickers that say "My child is an Honor Student at (such 'n' such) School" Inadvertently it says "My kid is smarter than your kid."

To a certain degree, you're correct.
But religions don't make or break ANY situation.
Who make a difference is the God that is worshiped through the practice of a religion.

When it comes to that, my God, the Father in heaven is better than all others, and history bears it out.

Not really. Your dad might in fact be able to beat up my dad. Because our dads actually exist. It's more like saying "my fairy godmother can beat up your fairy godmother".

Yeah.. sounds about right. It is what most immature people think and say.

I am a buddhist by choice, and I don't believe in a 'creator' or 'God'. I believe in being responsible for my life and choosing my own destiny.

Pretty much, but that is the nature of the beast. As we get older things don't change much, just the situations surrounding them get more complicated because we have kids..and mortages. But humans are creatures of habit. I believe people shouldn't judge others religous beliefs, but as long as we have "opinions" someone is always going to be unsatisfied!

Current scientific discoveries will soon change
the way we view God, ourselves and our universe.
The core of the change will come from a better
understanding of time and space.
It now appears that genetic frequncies and their
perspective quarks, play a constant role.
It's the stage that changes.
