DUH! If someone says something hateful, for instance, you don't need 5 seconds to judge that this person says hateful things.
If a person steals a watch, a car, a candy bar, someone's new jacket, you don't need 5 seconds to judge (ie to determine) that this person is a thief!
What interaction is needed to look at the behavior of another person and determine by their very outward actions, that they behave this way or that way?
What GOD said is do not judge the heart, do not judge the motives or intentions of another person, because we can only see the outward actions. We can not see into the heart of another person.

Its the nature of reality. We all do it, its hard not too, because we are taught from a young age what our "values" are supposed to be then we "modify" them as we get older. I attempt really hard not to do this, but its so in-grained...

5 minutes is a good amount of time to make a 1st impression. You can't truly know a person in that amount of time but it can give you a general idea of their character traits.
