Why do you love porn so much?
People naturally like sex, but you just buy a trashy novel or skin magazine.
See, not nice to be judged, is it?

well first of all I will start by saying that the bible is not for everyone. Anyone can read it but only few will truly understand it. You will read how god all ways speaks of his son or the sons. They are the only ones who will hear there fathers voice or understand. And really its not about believing the book anyways the book came later on the book is a witness of what already was and is. You can change the book but there are somethings you can't change. Example:
god said I am the father the son and the holy spirit and these three are one. Three states but still just the one god. God was telling us something about himself and we missed it the creator of the heavens and earth told us something about us and it went ober our heads. Now if he really created the earth then it shpuld be something like him right. Thats why everything in his creation is three but one. Example
there are three layers to the sun yet it is one sun. Three layers to the earth also one earth. Time has three states past, present and future bit its still all time. Water is a solid, liquid and gas but in every state its still h2o. To sum it up everything is made up of atoms atoms are protons nuetrons and electrons yet just one atom. The list can go on for ever your eyes, ear, hair bit we should get the point its that way cause god is that way. So no don't believe the book believe and prove the book by the things that he has given you. Good question

If you didn't believe it the first time you read it than how come you went back for seconds, thirds, fourths...I am a devout Christian and I confess that I have not read the Bible many many many time in it's entirety. It is studied in parts, complimented by study guides and worship. If you read it as just an epic novel, than no wonder you feel as though it is failing you. Get a good study bible, get good study guides, get into a bible based church, worship and be feed with the word of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It's a deep spiritual thing the unbeliever can't understand. Way before belief in the book comes a relationship with God. And before that comes a desire to know God. There is no other way to do it and it's not even possible to explain it in a way you can understand. The bible says its truths are hidden from the unbeliever. So you've got to take that first step and tell God you want to know Him. If you're sincere about it, He'll reveal Himself to you.

I guess you have read it (the Bible), but not yet heard it through "spiritual ears/eyes"
It is very powerful to pull down strongholds in
the lives of many including myself.
Things are mysterious about it.
We don't yet know everything, but the truth
is that it is powerful for belief and for healing!
Btw, it does not say 2010.
It does not give a date for the end at all.

why do you believe a book?
Everything we have ever learned has come from books... written by people...
The Bible is the most throughly vetted book in the history of the world. It has been studied and criticized since it's inception. No other book has withstood the kind of scrutiny the bible has received.

I do not believe the Bible is the literal word of God. I believe it was written by Godly men (many of whom witnessed the events the wrote about) inspired by God.

"I believe In God but not that the book is his word and all truth. "
Well, just like you have faith and believe in God some people go further and have faith and believe that God caused a book to be written. Just different degrees of faith.

Why do people believe everything they read in the New York Times?
The same reason some people believe everything in the Bible.
They are sheep, and can't think for themselves.

there is truth in that.
the bible was written by Gods followers. they probably added their own ideas and suggestions. i think that it is wrong for people to follow a book as their life "rules". i think that humans have to have rules otherwise we dont know what to do. we learn from copying our parents we believe from copying a book.
