went bad with the dealer, it was used 3700, i owe 455, bad trans and probably bad motor, anyway long story short, can I use the reciepts that I have saved for my taxes this coming year along with my w2's. I have every reciept plus other ones. Can I use them all on my taxes?

these were not repairs, this was paying for a used car that i ended up losing because he screwed me in the end.

If you use it for business purposes, yes, if you use it drive back and forth to work, no.

No, sorry, none of your expenses on the car are tax deductible for a personal car. If it was being used for business, some of it might be - but this does NOT include commuting to work and back.

Do not fall in a similar trap of mine. I ,after experience, go for brand-new, low price, and acceptable quality.
1- Brand new gives you the feeling of self satisfaction
2- Low price that you'l never be sorry to get rid of it the time you decide to.
3- Acceptable quality that guarantees no failure in the near future and for at least 2-3 years.

You cannot deduct automobile expenses on your tax return unless it's a vehicle used solely for business purposes and you can prove it. Talk to your accountant.

Unelss the car is used for business, repairs are not deductible.
