If you havent read Acts 2:38 And Peter Said unto them repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost. And Acts 10: 44While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

I dont say this to anger you, but out of love and compassion for all fooled by false doctrines, I have studied and showed myself approved, this is the only way ppl were saved in the Bible.

Instead of being a screwball, explain how a holy ghost falls on someone. How come it took the church 300 years to discover that the holy ghost was a separate being, and invent the Trinity? Do you know that I as an atheist found it easy to babble in church and the Minister assured me that I was speaking in tongues? How come when a second party explains what the first babbled about, it is never what the first person had in mind?

Baptism does not save. In the Old Testament they took the blood and sprinkled it on the Mercy Seat for the sins of man. There was no water involved. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. It was the blood the saved back then and it is still the blood that saves. Baptism is a work. What I mean by that is its something people think they have to do to complete salvation. Salvation is complete in Jesus and what he done on the cross. Romans 6:3-4 explains what Baptism is.
God bless and have a wonderful day.

the bible also says that god has predestined who will believe in him or not.

(Acts 13:48, Romans 8:29-30, 2 Timothy 1:9, Ephesians 1:4-5 , 2 Thessalonians 2:13 are the verses that spring to mind)

My unbelief is clearly a result of his plan and so how can i go against god's will? I cannot make myself believe in something?

How do you account for all the other holy books and huge religious traditions that came before the Bible, Jesus and Christianity? I don't think that's what Jesus would have wanted. I am not saying this to offend you either but 'truth' means a lot of different things to a lot of people.

My heart is nice and soft, and believes in the truth. Which isn't found in a set of beliefs that condemns everyone that doesn't follow them to hell. The kicker for me is that even if you've never heard of God or the Bible, you still go to hell because you made the wrong choice. Bah, it's silly.

When Jesus told you to spread the Gospel, I'm pretty sure he was talking about going to places that have never heard it before. Most atheists have definitely heard it before; in fact, a good deal of them were once Christians.

Jesus' call to spread the Gospel was not license to badger people who have heard it and don't accept it. In fact, he told you to leave such people alone and shake the dust from your feet.

Which truth? Truth is as each of us are given the wisdom to know truth.
Truth never comes from another, but from inside our enlightened mind. Without enlightenment one is in darkness and the truth is not in them.

Christianity is extremely egocentric.

The deep egocentrism of Christianity is intimately tied to its reliance on fear. In addition to the fears of the devil and hell, Christianity plays on another of humankind’s most basic fears: death, the dissolution of the individual ego. Perhaps Christianity’s strongest appeal is its promise of eternal life. While there is absolutely no evidence to support this claim, most people are so terrified of death that they cling to this treacly promise insisting, like frightened children, that it must be true.

Another manifestation of the extreme egotism of Christianity is the belief that God is intimately concerned with picayune aspects of, and directly intervenes in, the lives of individuals. If God, the creator and controller of the universe, is vitally concerned with your sex life, you must be pretty damned important. Many Christians take this particular form of egotism much further and actually imagine that God has a plan for them, or that God directly talks to, directs, or even does favors for them.(1) If one ignored the frequent and glaring contradictions in this supposed divine guidance, and the dead bodies sometimes left in its wake, one could almost believe that the individuals making such claims are guided by God. But one can’t ignore the contradictions in and the oftentimes horrible results of following such "divine guidance." As "Agent Mulder" put it in a 1998 X-Files episode, "When you talk to God it’s prayer, but when God talks to you it’s schizophrenia. . . . God may have his reasons, but he sure seems to employ a lot of psychotics to carry out his job orders."

In less extreme cases, the insistence that one is receiving divine guidance or special treatment from God is usually the attempt of those who feel worthless—or helpless, adrift in an uncaring universe—to feel important or cared for.

This less sinister form of egotism is commonly found in the expressions of disaster survivors that "God must have had a reason for saving me" (in contrast to their less-worthy-of-life fellow disaster victims, whom God—who controls all things—killed).

Here's a clue. I don't agree with your religion. I don't consider it hardening my heart, but as the guy above me says, opening my mind. Trying to convert people by quoting a book people don't believe in is completely ineffective.
