Ladies - I'm not exactly a girl anymore, but I still feel like one inside & look like one (in my dreams perhaps?!)
Do you notice any subtle 'face fluff' appearing around your jaw line area?! What do you do about it? Why does happen? Age? Any good products to get rid of it?

'Castle waiting' seems like fun - ages since I've read a book - it was BBD (before beard days).

I can't believe I've been checking out websites about 'perimenopause' & 'menopause'. How depressing. I wish I had kept quiet about the 'beard' now! Thanks for that!

Some women are more prone to facial hair than others, if it's dark hair, laser works great. If it's blond go for waxing. Steer clear of chemical hair removers, they're extremely harsh and will dry your skin or cause painful blistering. Use a good wax if you have the patience to do it yourself, sugar honey products work well and are gentler than wax. Professional waxing is very inexpensive especially at beauty colleges and massage schools.

I had a lady do mine. She was a very skillful, Turkish lady, she used cotton which she pulled the hairs out with completely. It didn't hurt, the hair grows back eventually but it doesn't make hair darker or coarser like shaving or immac would.
Am not quite sure what the technical name for this is but worth a try. I am 40 and have very fine hairs around jawline. I think it has something to do with your hormones, as you get older less oestrogen in your blood stream.

Age and hormones cause facial hair in women. If it's only a little, the best thing it to get professional electrolysis on it. It may take a few sessions, but it's not that expensive and is permanent.
If there is a lot of it, or it's gets a lot worse, get your doctor to check it out, it might be a hormone related problem that needs attention.

Depends how much you get & how visible it is!
I have ocassional tweezer sessions to just keep any thick ones away - then about every 5 months or so I use wax strips from Boots to get rid of any finer growth.
Sadly - most of it is down to age although apparently diet plays a part in it (eating lots of burgers & ice cream are bad for your facial hair!!)

Immac now Veet hair remover cream is NOT suitable for your face. I would recommend the electrolysis were the root is damaged an wont grow back, it is not painful an you can get them with a video to show you exactly what to do, it will save you money to be able to do it yourself as it probably costly going to a beautician to get it done.

Beginnings of beard growth which most women get as they approach the menopause and estrogen levels drop. Your hormone balance is shifting to be more like that of a male. Most women end up shaving in later life -- save yourself a whole lot of angst and get a decent men's electric razor, like a Norelco, now.

It sounds like you're saying that you are a lady of a certain age which shall remain nameless, and this sounds like a sign of the Change. I think that you should see your doctor as this sounds like part of a hormonal change, which can be rectified by either hrt, the pill or other hormonal supplements.
Good luck.
