Hello all! I pray that you are doing well this morning. I have been inspired to write this from a question that I just saw on here. And it is so funny, because I was actually thinking about this same thing early this morning. So it is as if it has been laid on my heart to bring this up to you.
We all know that this society is obsessed with looks and clothes and makeup and all of that.
Even Christians get bogged down in their physical appearance because it seems like it is so important in todays society.
I am here to tell you friends, TRUE BEAUTY comes from God alone. When we have accepted Jesus as our Savior and are walking in the light, our beauty will shine forth. Others will be able to look at us and say, "She/he is a really beautiful person." Because our beauty from the inside will be shown. True beauty comes from the inside, and we cannot have it unless we are walking in the light. So if you are one of the ones that obsess over your looks,

please know, friend that I am not criticizing you. I am asking you to reexamine what you think is beautiful and let your beauty shine forth from the inside. Have you ever heard that song "Shine, Jesus, Shine" Jesus will shine forth in your life and it will not matter what you look like. People will not worry about your clothes or your face or hair, they will not say"did you see what she had on?" They will say,"yes, I know her, she is really a beautiful person."

I hope that you have been encouraged today. Not by me, but by God. He is so amazing and everyday that we walk with Him and talk with Him we will learn and realize more and more. Our lives will never be complete, our learning of Him will never come to an end, because everyday there is always something else that He is ready to reveal to us. I love you all, Cat

I have been a christian for years, studying the bible, what I know today is not what I knew 15 years ago, even 3 years ago. What I know today you wouldnt believe, because you would say it is too good to be true, so I dont tell most people. But what I know all has to do what the cross REALLY DID. Ok i will tell you. Jesus on the cross conquered death, hell and the grave...that means He did something to it by the sacrifice of the cross. When He left the earth, He said I must go, so the comforter could come, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the power to live the same life of Jesus, because in choosing the same "ways" He did, you will not get sick diseased or even die. Yes the real gospel is all about not dieing. Ex. The meek shall inherit the earth.(now) Read John chapters 6,8. Most people assume that means spiritual death, there is no such thing as spiritual death. Hell came into the catholic church to keep the people in fear and under control...A man named C.Dante wrote a piece of literature called something like Hells Burning Inferno......There is so much in History christians would be shocked, not to mention the whole world would be.

Cat many gracious thanks to you. Blessings.

I believe a girls's true beauty does shine in God's light one who is virtutous, goes to church (most beautiful girls in the world go to church), because they are praising God.

There is a spiritual quality like light, grace, kindness, and an all around beauty that radiates from her.

You are right, and if everyone went to visit the Blessed Sacrament for Adoration, there would be many more glowing brothers and sisters in Christ and world peace.

We are rearfully and wonderfully made all of us and yes beauty lies within not on the outside and thats for everybody she is not trying to single out one certain group, some people that do not have a relationship with God still obey the commandments so they are being obedient and thats light to.

Ecc. 3:11 God has made everything beautiful in his time.
Ps. 139:14- I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

I am nothing without God and can do nothing without him. Only through him am I of worth. I am a heir with Christ. This world may view me as nothing but God thinks of me.

I know the thoughts that I think toward you.

Are you implying that only Christians are beautiful? That's a claim that you would find hard to defend. Beauty has nothing to do with imaginary beings. Its the product of your genes. Of course genes only dictate outward appearance, but everyone has the potential to be beautiful on the inside.

Are you so blinded that you aren't able to see beauty within all people (yes, including those that don't share your faith)?

Amen and thank you for your uplifting words. I am radiant and you are as well. : ) You will be truly happy if you cling to this one truth in all the lies and deception that is the world.
God Bless You and All You Love and Despise as well.
Amen.

"Loving of enemies is another dogma of feigned morality, and has beside no meaning....Those who preach the doctrine of loving their enemies are in general the greatest prosecutors, and they act consistently by so doing; for the doctrine is hypocritical, and it is natural that hypocrisy should act the reverse of what it preaches." – Thomas Paine

"The Bible was established altogether by the sword, and that in the worst use of it -- not to terrify but to extirpate." --- Thomas Paine

"What is it the Bible teaches us? -- rape, cruelty, and murder." – Thomas Paine

Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon than the Word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind."
-Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason, 1794

Christianity cannot live in peace with any other form of faith. -- Robert Ingersoll
