Lots of different ways, you can take pictures and use those or take those same pictures and use different picture software to modify it to your liking and use those. You could also browse the Internet for pictures and again using software customize them to make your own.

lol u can make wallpapers in any graphics program, even MS Paint, and you can have absolutely any image scanned and set as your desktop, or photoshop it and modified as much as u like before u set it as desktop image.
as u can imagine, there are lots of ways to make your own wallpaper, and it all depends on how complex you want to make one. the best piece of software to use imo is Adobe Photshop, coz u can use lots of filters and brushes and so on to make some really nice images.

Here is a list - take your pick.
http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=slv8-fp&p=how%20to%20create%20computer%20wallpaper
Please be aware that wallpaper runs constantly in the background and is using memory. This can slow you down. I have mine set to none.

go to www.wallpaper.com they have lots of them.
or if you want your own picturs you copy them to your computer with a copyscaner and put them in a picture file.
Once there you can right click on the item and a drop box will show , you then pick 'set as background' and you should have a new background you created.
By the way, you need a picture program to do this if you don't already have one.

Use pretty much ANY graphics package out there. Get hold of one, read the manual, and you're off!

not sure what you mean by this..
If you've got good quality pics you can use them or make a collage in PowerPoint and save as a jpeg.
