Adam lived to be 930 years of age.

What was the original diet of man? Why haven't we given it any real consideration in our modern society? Could it be that the primary cause for poor health in our world is largely due to our failure to return to the original diet before sin entered our world?

Your thoughts.

Yes, I do think so because God did not officially say that animals were for eating until after the flood. (Gen.9:3) Yes, I agree that poor health is caused partially by meat eating because the nutrients you get from meat is second hand and is harder to digest. There are many other causes for poor health so will not say it is mainly from meat. Lack of exercise, fresh air, plenty of water, plenty of sleep, getting enough fruits and veges, sunshine, and trust in Divine power....where these are lacking there will be poor health also. Also, taking drugs and alcohol brings poor health.

No, you're actually wrong. The reason why they died so old is because they were closer to perfection than we are. As time goes on, the mortality age goes down. They were supposed to never die, to live forever, so as sin entered, death made his way in. So it's because they were closer to perfection. Adam, Cain, all those near that time died very old. However, others further than there died at a normal age. Nowadays the age is still going down, slowly.

As I recall they were permitted to consume certain animals (No idea what mind you) and it was not until Noah that man was given "Permission" to consume all animals.
