A couple of things come to mind. The chief one is that there might be a problem with your spine that is causing a pinched nerve. Try taking aspirin, and use a rolled-up warm towel around your neck for relief. And try getting a new pillow, if the one you have isn't supporting your head and neck right.

If those don't work, see a chiropractor.

Good luck!

Unequal muscle pull is normally involved in such instances. One side is working harder than the other, causing the unequal muscle build-up. This causes the resultant inability of the vertebrae to return to their proper position. Eventually may be causing pressure of the nerve root itself. Thus causing an edema to the tissue involved. Allowing for pressure of a lesser amount to have an effect on the nerve.

You will find one side to be restricted in the rotation. If an exercise doesn't aggravate the condition, stretching of that tighter muscle may give some relief. If not, it would be advisable to have it examined and treated. As stated by one of your answerers, a doctor of Chiropractic would be the first choice for this type of problem.

Hi,
A lot of people suggest going to physiotherapy, my opinion that doesn't always work. My advise is to try a chiropractor, they are really great at sorting out pain in the neck, back, hips, legs or pelvis.
Good luck.

it can be alot of things, have you gone to a Dr to check it out, if not do so, it could be a strain in the muscles to a degenerating disc in your neck, go find out, Physical therapy can sometimes help, or surgery!!
