It's 2007 and I can't believe that some people still think that they can influence infectious disease through behavior.
Sin does not cause sickness and death... viruses and bacteria do.

We are not perfect. If we WERE perfect, then as you rightly say, there would be no imperfections.... (glasses, sickness, death)
Perfect and imperfect cannot exist together, it is a contradiction. That is God's problem with us. He made us perfect, we sinned allowing sin into the world (sin = imperfection) and now we are imperfect and God is perfect... He sent the law to prove we are imperfect and then sent Christ to "restore" our perfection. The rule is if you sin you die, so while we are redeemed in Christ, we have to die, to pay the price for our sin, but it will not be held to our account after that, we will be raised again and paradise lost will be paradise regained....

God didnt make us perfect, he is perfect and he created us in his image. Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden and we lost the perfect image we had because they chose free will over their faith in God.
Having a cold and glasses are just the ways of the world, do the chicken soup, hot tea thing, and and read to much into it.

You speak about body, be happy and believe in the Will od God,
God knows very well what you need better, take care of your body and your soul which is the Light of your body..
Ususlly, the perfect body cause many sins in the life of men who live without God, and because them(sins) men lost wery quickly the beauty of body. The beauty of men is temporary. Old men have too nasty cold and glasses, but if they lived in God they a still nice.
God gives to us all gifts and rulles, for we can be happy, but when the evil drive our life , he take from us all those gifts. When we see the ruine of our body, and nobody love us any more. we remember JESUS and Saint Mary , They hold us, love us and say "You are very important for Us", and we begin to live the beauty of our souls, which is eternal in God. Be happy with what God gived to you and take care of them(the gifts -you are helth), for be enaf until you will be an old men an will go in Heaven.

We are not perfect - we are broken in many ways.
Before we chose to sin (Adam and Eve) there was no need for glasses, and no colds... you are right.
But all of us have free will, and back to Adam and Eve we all have chosen to sin, and have brought sin and its consequences into the world.
Sickness, death, bacteria, pain and sorrow came when we rebelled from God, and our world is fallen because of it.

Adam was made perfect, he passed onto us the imperfections of sin that gives us a short life full of trouble, to death, but at least we have that and did not get wiped out with no hope, our hope in in Christ Jesus as our savior to being us into being perfect in the time frame that God is allowing.

the answer you will get from christians is that we were given 'free will' (and sin was caused by 'the fall' and inherited by every human from sins of Adam and Eve)
of course this is utter rubbish.
even the bible said a man should not be judged by the sins of the father (Deuteronomy 24:16 and Ezekiel18:20 )so how can we inherit the sins of Adam and Eve?
Not to mention that I hardly have 'free will' over the poor quality of my eyes.
If I did I would choose to have them work perfectly.

Obviously this so-called perfect god made an imperfect creation.
Yet another logical inconsistency in the myth. Oh, yeah, I forgot, "God works in mysterious ways."

Sin is in the world. I wear glasses too, so what? Everyone is born into it, and given different things to overcome. Deliverance from sin is not possible without Jesus Christ.
