She just doesn't seem to comprehend a simple task of just sweeping and then moping the floor. She instead mops first and then wants to sweep a wet floor. (She's 18yrs. old) I'm trying to get her reeady for when she's out on her own but she's as dull as an antique knife; But hand her a cell phone and she knows all the features and gatgets. Help....

damn she really is a tough one. being a step-daughter isnt an excuse. just by lookin on to ur age gaps it;s very far. what she needs to learn is the word R_E_S_P_E_C_T......... she'll understand someday about wat ur feeling right now.. she will have her own family soon and maybe karma will come and all her daughters and sons will never listen to a word she say... nobody knows for sure.. ;)

HAHAHA...boy is she playing you! If she does these "simple tasks" all wrong, then she's hoping you'll quit asking her to do them.

Take that fancy cell phone away (if you're paying for it) until she learns the basics of life!

You will just have to be very patient and realize that she has probably never done any chores before you came into her life. And also she may just be acting dumb to get out of doing the chores.....

apparently, no one taught her how to do housework, esp mopping the floor.

she's only 18, and believe me, sometimes we can't expect miracles.

for most, it is common sense to get the dirt up and then mop... for others, well, clean floors aren't that important.
