The 'greatest sin' is disobedience to God.
This would include everyone, pretty much....non-believers and believers, since we ALL fall short many times and disobey God. With any of us, along with child molesters, murderers...the question is,
are we willing to STOP disobeying and CHANGE.
I personally know the anger that comes from being victimized by a child molester, and if they don't stop what they're doing, own up to it, apologize and change their behavior, they will be destroyed by God. (Proverbs 2:21&22) The problem with something like this , is that this tendency came from somewhere....the majority of child molesters were molested themselves. Not an excuse by any means, as we all have choices to make in life, but it IS a reason. Many perpetrators were once innocent victims themselves and their view of life was scewed from the beginning because of someone else's selfish behavior (which they in turn got from some OTHER selfish damaged person). Disobedience to God is involved in all the evils in the world. The one who originally molested the molester disobeyed God when he did his evil act, the one who commits murder disobeys God's laws, the one who hates his neighbor disobeys God's laws....the ones who caused all the problems in the world from the beginning, Satan the devil, Adam and Eve....all disobeyed God's perfect laws.
On the other hand, obedience to God's laws brings peace and happiness... Love God(Mark 12:30&31), Love your neighbor as yourself (Romans 13:8-10), educate yourself (John 17:3)(Romans 12:1-2), Do NOT return evil for evil ....Be peaceable with everyone (Romans 12:9&10,17&18), be obedient to the laws of the land (Romans 13:1-7), Have faith that God has something better planned for this planet, very soon (Ps 37:10, 11, 29)(Revelation 21:4)(Matthew 24:14)(Micah 4:3&4). We're all imperfect and any of us can and do make mistakes, but PRACTICING sin without owning up to it and changing our ways, is NOT a mistake. It's habitual and unchanging and is viewed differently(James 4:17)(Proverbs 26:11) (1 John 3:4-8). A molester, or murderer or anyone of us who doesn't STOP the wrong act and change, will not be forgiven (Acts 3:19). Attitude is everything.

You don't sin more so that His grace may abound,..it don't work that way....for a double minded man is tossed by the waves of the sea,...never knowing where he goes.
THAT IS TRULY LOST!
Greatest sin....hmmmm...a child molester can be forgiven if they except Christ....but they must have faith and without works faith is of no value.....If they are a child molester then they will no longer be if they except Christ,....because to except Christ is to get rid of the former way of living.
I don't believe in half backed Christians,...i believe we all fall short but not to purposly commit sin.
I just love the idea that he will forgive us even in the most heinous sins but if we love him we will do his will,....and when you do that you are able to put off the old ways.
I'm hoping that answered your question!
Peace

Well Jesus Himself said that "if anyone hurts a child He might as well tie himself to a brick and cast himself in a lake or sea" I would have to refresh that verse If I need to.
I think that is a strong statement coming from Him.
On the other hand God loves people and the same mercy is for us ALL. Its sad but He would be forgiven only if with the right heart of course and God knows the thoughts and intents of the heart so.....
I came from a childhood like that It was abusive and I hope my father will recieve that awesome God kind of Mercy. I know that seems crazy but I forgive him and can't live with that heaviness in my heart.
The Nonbeliver- Well Us Christians believe you'd have to believe and would be a new creature in Christ.

What about saint Paul ....who wrote 1/2 the new testament and yet was killing the followers of Christ yes sinners get saved through Christ there's no doubt about it history is marked with millions upon millions of humbled sinners saved by the grace of god ...who did he come to save if not the sinner ...all have fallen short of the grace of god all of us each going his own way rejecting the truth ...
Christ offers to all the free gift of forgiveness and I don't know a soul who doesn't acknowledge his own need for forgiveness or not know that he's done wrong in his life ...
The perplexing problem is there's nothing we alone can do about it and yet God foreknew it and made a Way for us because of his love for us personally........and that's how each of us comes to the lord ....personally and honestly bringing our own hurts weaknesses and failures to a god who cares and can do something about it ....It's not a myth or a belief or some fairy tale ....It's the creator reconciling the world to himself.....The greatest sin is to reject the way of god and the way is Jesus.....and the spirit///holy spirit who's pointing each of us towards gods plan for salvation......to grieve the holy spirit is the unpardonable sin ...and the holy spirits tug on our heartstrings and the work he's doing in mens consciouses to lead them to the truth won't be forgiven if it's rejected or ignored ...

God is a merciful God you can repent at anytime and he will forgive ,but do not forget he knows your heart and knows whether you mean it or not,and you ae supposed to change your way of living not continue doing the same things and think you will go to heaven you decieve yourself, people walk with the Lord and get into demonic strongholds that need to be broken and deliverance is what is called for and then they can walk free once again,in a new life

A true believer turns from their sin. Professing words from your mouth does no good if it is not in your heart. Every believer is proven by their actions. That is not to say that anyone is perfect. If a person commits a murder turns to God through Jesus Christ, turns away from that sin and truly means it, then yes that person is forgiven, and will be saved. That puts that person in a better position then the one that has rejected Jesus Christ who felt the wrath of sin on the cross. No one can be saved based on their own merit. Christ accomplished this, and faith through Him is knowing that God has accepted the payment for sin, and true faith will be shown by what a person does.

God views all sin in the same light it is falling short of his standered certainly a child molester and murderer do that. you can not honestly call some one who does those things christian and they are defiantly not saved at the time they commit them.

a person who spends a life murdering but still a believer?
This would be no Christian...Only they claim they are..You can say you are a women but be a man does that make you a women cause you say it,,no I think not...
We can sit all day and try to reason stuff away but the fact is,,if you don't accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in your life, then believer or not,you will not see the gates of Heaven..Jesus has to be in your lifeand you have to be willing to do the will of our Father in Heaven,no ands or ifs..
