Even more than the food or the flowers, spend time with her. Show her that you're willing to put aside other things in order to take care of her, even if she's sick and disgusting. Rent a movie that the two of you saw when you first started dating, or offer to throw in a chick flick that she knows you would never agree to watch under normal circumstances. Rub her feet or back. Let her fall asleep on your lap. If she's throwing up, it is not necessary to hold her hair or accompany her to the bathroom, but it does help to show that you're not grossed out, maybe just by bringing her a glass of water when she comes back out. And take some vitamin C, so she doesn't have to take care of you in a week! Hope this helps.

Call her, ask her if she would like some soup or something, then make it, and bring it to her. Maybe some brownies are in order..if she wants. Maybe rent a movie she's been wanting to see and bring it to her or maybe a season of a TV show. No one wants to be stuck at home watching daytime television. Ask her if she needs anything else and just help her out. She will be very appreciative.

Keep her a tall glass of ice water beside the bed along with whatever fever reducer she uses.
Do not try to make her eat.
Just let the flu run its course.

OH! And don't be a pain in the butt. Let her rest.

this is soo traditional but bring chicken noodle soup or come over ancd make her chicken and dumplings. My boyfriend made me that and he just held me even though he knew he could probably get it. The chicken and dumplings really helps and holding her will too (plus roses and a get well card always helps)

clear fluids: chicken broth, gingerale (diet if she chooses) ...

i remember that being inactive helped the flu meds keep the fever at bay, the more i moved around, the higher it went, so keep her still and comfortable - be prepared for back and forth between her feeling hot, cold, cold chills, cold sweats, etc.

rent some funny movies ...

a warm bath, heating pads and back rubs because your muscles ache when you get flu. Let her rest and keep her full of fluids. Flowers help too!!!!

Lots of attention and caring. Sponge her down if she gets to hot and buy her a bunch of flowers to show you care!

Oh and lots of water to drink!
